The recently crowned champion of Big Brother Naija Season 9, Kellyrae, disclosed that he transferred N55 million to his wife, Kassia, from his N60 million grand prize.
In addition to the cash, he also received a new car valued at N40 million after winning the reality competition.
Initially, Kellyrae and Kassia participated in the show as a duo called DoubleKay, although later they were separated to compete independently.
Post unpairing, Kellyrae’s management supported his journey to win the grand N100 million prize over Kassia.
They informed the fans about this decision after Kellyrae expressed his desire to win more than Kassia.
During an Instagram live chat with Kassia, he stated that he had already sent her N55 million for her needs from the total N60 million he earned.
“I have transferred N55 million to Kassia already,” he mentioned.
However, Kassia challenged his statement, asking, “Which account did you transfer the money to? Why are you lying to your supporters who voted for you?”
In reply, Kellyrae suggested, “It’s due to a bad network. My fans would not turn against me.”
