The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 9, Kellyrae, has responded to concerns raised by his wife Kassia’s family over the management’s choice to support him over her during the recent reality show.
Previously, the couple, popularly referred to as DoubleKay, initially shared management while competing. However, Biggie later separated the housemates, leading to a scenario where Kellyrae’s management chose to prioritize his progress on the show instead of Kassia’s.
In her post-eviction remarks, Kassia acknowledged that the management’s decision might be the right one but mentioned her family’s dissatisfaction regarding the preference shown towards her husband.
In a conversation with Naija FM in Lagos, Kellyrae expressed his criticism towards his in-laws for opposing the management’s strategy.
Host: “Kassia mentioned her family’s discontent with your management’s choice to support you in the show.”
Kellyrae: “Indeed, they seem upset. However, they ought to realize she is now married.”
The couple has been together for a decade and celebrated their marriage eight months ago.
