Shaun, a contestant on Season 9 of Big Brother Naija, expressed to his partner, Victoria, that he cannot be held accountable for her lack of communication.
Victoria has been quite reserved since the show began, impacting her relationship with Shaun and the other housemates.
During the live show on Sunday, host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu questioned Victoria about the distance in her relationship with Shaun.
She replied, “I don’t see it as strange. He has his group of friends, and I don’t want to intrude.”
Following the live show, Shaun and Victoria had a discussion prompted by Ebuka’s inquiry to Victoria.
Shaun expressed to Victoria the challenge he faces in dealing with her reticence in expressing her emotions.
“I cannot compel you to speak up; I cannot force you to interact with others; I cannot make you reach out to me when you have concerns. I was born into this world alone, so I cannot do that,” he said.
