Claims of theft arose on Tuesday night in Big Brother Naija Season 9 as Chinwe accused Nelly of taking her 24 karat gold jewelry.
Nelly’s boyfriend, Sooj, discovered the jewelry purse in Nelly’s laundry bag and returned it to Chinwe, leading to the accusation.
In a conversation with Kassia the next morning, Nelly refuted the accusations, stating she had no knowledge of how the jewelry ended up in her laundry bag.
Despite feeling inclined to react strongly to the accusation, Nelly was advised by Sooj to address the issue privately with Chinwe.
When Nelly encountered Chinwe later, she noted, “I was waiting for the energy she displayed last night this morning. However, she [Chinwe] couldn’t say anything when she saw me.”
“I looked her in the eye, nothing happened. Call me an armed robber to my face, and if we can’t resolve it, we’re not going home.

The cameras did not capture the initial confrontation between Nelly and Chinwe regarding the theft. They only recorded the conclusion of their discussion.
It seemed like Nelly was apologizing to Chinwe, although it was unclear whether the apology was for the stolen jewelry or another matter.
