In a conversation with her housemates, BBNaija Season 9 contestant Chinwe expressed her opinion that Wizkid, a Grammy-winning afrobeats artist, is no longer as relevant as he used to be.
She went on to say that the younger afrobeats sensation, Rema, has surpassed Wizkid in terms of popularity.
Chinwe shared these views during a discussion on Saturday.
Chinwe also commended Burna Boy for maintaining his status as a superstar in the music industry.
She compared Wizkid’s current status to that of Burna Boy, stating, “Wizkid is no longer relevant, when was the last time he sold out a show? Even Rema is doing better than him.”
She further added, “Currently, Wizkid isn’t doing great. He has to prove himself and earn his status as a superstar. If it’s Burna Boy, I won’t be having this conversation. Burna Boy is doing well. He’s proving himself.”
