A statement of autonomy was made by Chinwe, a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 9, as she cautioned her housemates against relegating her to a mere housemaid role within the house.
During her discussion on Thursday morning, Chi expressed dissatisfaction with fellow housemates who failed to clean up after preparing meals.
In unequivocal terms, she informed her peers that she had no intentions of being viewed as a maid by bearing the burden of all kitchen chores.
Expressing her frustration, she angrily exclaimed, “Am I supposed to wash the dishes for those who cooked? I have not slept since last night, my head is pounding. I did not come here to be a kitchen servant.”
She questioned the fairness of expecting each individual to clean up after cooking, especially when there had been an agreement that those who cook would take care of cleaning up after themselves. She raised concerns about individuals who should contribute to communal cooking but fail to assist with the clean-up process.
